Saturday and Sunday 21st-22nd September

Chill Out Zone and Wristband Collection (The Engine Shed) 10am-4pm

Get your freshers started by collecting your wristbands from the Engine Shed. We will be here from 10am - 4pm, come say hi and pick up your official Freshers wristband.

Monday 23rd September

Union Day (The Learning Hub) 10am-4pm

Mocktails and Games Night (The Engine Shed) 6pm-10pm

Join us in the Learning Hub to kick off your Freshers week with Union Day. Discover all of your Sports and Societies, meet new people and pick up some freebies during the day followed by Mocktails!

Tuesday 24th September

LGBTQ+ Conversation Café (The Engine Shed) 1-2pm

Can You Poet Discussions: Who Are You? (The Mezzanine, The Engine Shed) 2pm-4pm

Following his successful Can You Poet poetry events, Students' Union Vice President BME Tré Ventour has decided, to roll out a spin-off, still discussing poetry and still themed. September's theme is "Who Are You?" - discussing identity through spoken word poetry. Who are you? What makes you unique? Less performance, more self-evaluation.

Wednesday 25th September

Inflatable Playground (Outside the Engine Shed) 10am-4pm

Discover your inner child and join us outside the Engine Shed for a grown up playground and BBQ. There will be food drinks and, most importantly, inflatables to play on!

Thursday 26th September

Global Conversation Café (The Engine Shed) 1-2pm

Board Games Night (LH017) 6.30-8.30pm

If you’re thinking that Freshers events sound scary, join us for a more laid back board games afternoon in LH107. This is the perfect event for all students to come together and make some new friends over a game or two!

Friday 27th September

Why do we have Black History Month? (The Mezzanine, The Engine Shed) 2.30-4.30pm

'Why Do We Have Black History Month?' is a roundtable discussion where participants will talk about Black History Month and if we have a need for it? Taking place at the Students' Union (Engine Shed), this will act as a prelude for what's to come during October on campus. Moreover, it will be an introduction for students to their Vice President BME Sabbatical Officer, Tré Ventour, and to their students' union.

After all of the excitement of Freshers, why not come and join us in the Engine Shed as we welcome back the Therapy Dogs! The dogs will be in the Engine Shed from 10am - 12pm ready to welcome you to the University of Northampton.
