The Islamic Society aims to promote a positive relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims on campus, as well as creating a safe space for Muslim (and non-Muslim) students to seem advice, express their views and meet with one another. Another aim of the Islamic society is to tackle issues such as ‘Islamaphobia’ and anti-Muslim views in the most positive and educational way that strengthens the relationship between the Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
All of our clubs and societies are run by a committee.
A committee is a team of people that lead, organise and publicise a group within your Students’ Union.
It can be really rewarding as well as being a great way to gain experience and invaluable skills for your future career.
